The original scope of the project was to create a KeyShot 3D animation to replace the existing step-by-step installation guide for the Hubbell Pursuit. Due to its unclear instructions on how to mate the products together, a more graphic visual representation was needed for its customers. It was successfully completed and the final animation can be found on Hubbell's website and YouTube channel (see below).
However, while taking apart the product myself to understand how to actually mate the two products together, I ran into a few issues...
As you can see, the person is struggling to "pry" out the LED/DRIVER Sub-Assembly with a screwdriver. It takes several attempts to figure out how to remove it without breaking the expensive product. The effects of the person's efforts can be seen below.
It was then realized that a specific tool was needed for a way to safely remove the LED/DRIVER without damaging the product.
By taking advantage of the small slot in between the housing and the LED/DRIVER Sub-Assembly, the tool makes it much easier and safer to remove.
